Chocolate cake is always an enjoyable and sweet bite, especially if you haven`t had sweeties for a long time. When it still comes from somewhere far to peek from the corner and after that it will be garnished with such a flavor bouquet, there is no other way than to hide it again for a long time.
This time the flavors are more courageous and there is a Black Garlic in dark chocolate. Believe it or not – this flavor combination was just divine. It is worth trying and I dare to think that you will want more of it. 🙂
For the base:
- 150 g Digestive cookies
- 60 g butter
- 200 ml whipped cream
- 350 g dark chocolate (70% cacao)
- 175 g Milka cream cheese
- 20 g Black Garlic
- 50 g sour cherry jam (or crushed cherries)
- almond slates
Crush the biscuits and mix with melted butter. Press the cookies into oblong or 20 cm diameter cake form. Slice Black Garlic. If you use (frozen) cherries (melt and) squeeze them. Pour the cream into pot and add chopped dark chocolate. Blend until dark chocolate is melt, add Milka cream cheese and mix until the filling is smooth. Sprinkle Black Garlic onto cookie base and pour chocolate filling on it. Smooth it even and place cherry jam with a spoon on top of it, use a fork and make a pattern to the cake. Put the cake in the fridge for 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, add almond slates to the cake and enjoy with high-quality espresso.
